In this course you will...

Improve your palate and truly appreciate wine.

The course comes with step-by-step wine tasting training and 2 virtual tastings with Kim (your personal sommelier and teacher). You'll unlock your wine palate, figure out what you like in a wine and be able to talk about it like a pro.

Increase your knowledge about wine and know what to expect out of every bottle.

Weeks 1-2 🍷😋

You’ll look like a pro in any wine situation as you develop your palate and learn why wine tastes the way it does. You'll learn how to taste wine, expand your palate with new flavors and learn how to find good wine at the store.

Weeks 3-4 🍇🌎

You become the go-to person for wine in your friend group as you learn the different grape varieties and wine regions and the best wines to get in each one.

Weeks 5-6 🎉🍽

You’ll be the host with the most as you learn how to buy, store, serve and pair wine with food like a pro. You'll know how to make a splash at parties with a wealth of impressive wine knowledge thanks to a lesson that answers the toughest wine questions (like: are sulfites bad?!).

Traditional wine courses require textbooks, long hours of study and big tests that judge you on whether or not you're good enough at tasting.

The Wine 101+ Course

The first of it's kind - a course designed for everyday wine consumers who want to understand, appreciate and feel more confident with wine.

HOW IT WORKS:

This course is online and self-paced. You will have your own unique login to the online portal where you'll find the lessons for each week.

Each week you will have a few lessons to complete, requiring no more than 2 hours of time!

The two virtual tastings are 1:1 with Kim and over Zoom. You will determine the dates of those tastings with Kim after you sign up.
The wine for the tastings is sold separately. It is not required to buy the wine, but highly encouraged to help you develop your palate and so we have something to taste and talk about on our two calls!

At the end of the course you'll:

There is something for all types of learners - videos and graphics, printable notes and short quizzes (don't worry, they won't be graded) to help you track your progress.

2 PRIVATE VIRTUAL TASTINGS

You can read all the blogs and watch all the content, but where you really increase your understanding of wine is tasting it!

You'll have two tastings with Kim throughout the course where you'll unlock your palate, develop strong tasting skills and figure out what you like in wine. This is also your opportunity to ask questions and dive deep onto wine topics that interest you the most.

HOW LONG IS THE COURSE AND WHAT'S THE TIME COMMITMENT?

CAN I DO THIS WITH A FULL TIME JOB?

The Wine 101+ Course is self-paced, with the content split into 6 "weeks" or modules. You can choose whether to binge the content or follow the 6 week cadence, depending on your schedule. Each week you'll have a few lessons to complete that require no more than 2 hours of time per week, so yes, you can absolutely take this while working a full time job! You also get two 1:1 virtual tastings with Kim.

ARE THE VIRTUAL TASTINGS 1:1 OR ARE THEY A GROUP TASTING?

The virtual tastings are 1:1 with Kim! You'll schedule your first tasting when you sign up for the course and we'll schedule the second at the end of our first tasting together. Can't wait!

DOES THE COURSE COME WITH WINE FOR THE TASTINGS? WHAT IS THE COST?

The cost of the Wine 101+ Course does NOT include wine for the course. The wine for the tastings is sold separately. It is not required to buy the wine, but highly encouraged to help you develop your palate and so we have something to taste and talk about on our two calls!

I began my wine journey like everyone else, drinking $3 bottles of Chardonnay from the grocery store. Throughout my journey of becoming a WSET Level 3-certified sommelier, I experienced the frustrations that many people feel when trying to learn about wine. There is so much information that it's difficult to figure out what you really need to know, and traditional wine classes are stuffy, heavily steeped in academia and frankly just boring.

There isn't wine education for the people who just want to learn about wine so they can buy better at the store and find wines the love... until now!
